Christmas Tree Hunting

We had a full, and I mean full, day on Friday. We headed out around 10 am to Whitetop, VA to get our Christmas tree. On the way home, we went through the Festival of Lights at Tanglewood. Adam liked the lights at first but then became more interested in the controls in the car he could finally reach. I think Jackson enjoyed getting to hang out of the sunroof the most. Twelve hours later we returned home and all crashed in our warm, cozy beds. These horses will take us up the mountain to search for the perfect Christmas Tree.

Here we are on the wagon heading up the mountain.

Standing on top of Whitetop Mountain. Yes, that is snow in the background.

Jackson surrounded by all the trees. He just kept saying everything was awesome!

They're cutting down our tree!

Playing with Daddy's phone while we wait in line at Tanglewood.

Adam didn't seem to mind the wait.

Some pics from Tanglewood in case you don't get to see the lights for yourself!

Thanksgiving Feast

We went to Jamie and Roger's house for our Thanksgiving feast (that's what Jackson called it) this year. Jamie, Roger, Philip, Natalie, and the four of us were there. We had a good time but missed the rest of you.

Mmm! Jamie's food is so yummy!
I just wish Jackson would leave me alone so I can eat it!

My new favorite toy at Aunt Jamie's. Where are those cards coming from?

Adam would climb up on the couch and jump on top of Natalie and Uncle Roger. They were so much fun to play with!

Our Day Off

Jackson and Adam enjoyed their day at home with Mommy today. We use this box as a time out spot for Adam. (Yes, he already needs a time out spot.) Jackson threw in a bean bag and called it an animal cage. He was the baby animal and Adam was the Daddy animal. They were cuddling together. What an imagination! (If Gramma were here she would have fed them "peanuts".)

Putting Up the Tree

We put up the tree that goes in the breakfast room. It was just a matter of putting it together, fluffing it, and plugging it in. You gotta love those pre-lit trees. Jackson and Adam were big helpers.
Jackson took a break from "fluffing" the tree to pose for a picture. I told you he wore that Indian costume the rest of the night!

Jackson was too eager to plug the lights in. Fortunately there isn't an outlet in that corner!

Adam wouldn't stay still long enough for a picture.

Jackson, the Pilgrim Star

Jackson was in a Thanksgiving program at school. The kindergarteners sang songs, recited poems, and presented a short play. Jackson was a Pilgrim. He remembered his lines and did very well.

Jackson's teacher, Mrs. Hewett, told him to change into his Indian costume as soon as the program was over so she could get a class picture of Indians. I've never seen him change clothes so fast. He was excited to show off his costume.

Mrs. Hewett took mine and Gramma's picture with the "Indian".

I had to ask Jackson to put his Pilgrim costume on once we got home so I could get a picture. He immediately put the Indian costume back on and wore it for the rest of the night.

Posing After Church

The boys sat down on the couch with their balloons from The Little Gym. Once Adam gets a balloon, he will not let it go- not even to eat!

Scorpian's Party

Jackson had his end of soccer season party on Saturday. The Scorpians played at The Little Gym (again!), ate pizza, and received trophies. Jackson was so proud to get his trophy.

Coach Raul gives Jackson his trophy.

Maggie Turns 5

Jackson and Adam's friend, Maggie, celebrated her fifth birthday at the boy's favorite place, The Little Gym. They had so much fun!

Jumping on the air trac.

Bubbles!

Look Mom- I'm running INSIDE!

Let me show you what I can do!

Day Out With Daddy

While I was at the Women of Faith conference, Kevin took the boys to the zoo. I think they enjoyed the playground more than the animals!

Look- They did see an animal!
