On the Way to Being a Snaggle Tooth

Jackson lost his first tooth... on the first day of school. He said they were touring the cafeteria and it just fell onto his tongue. It's a good thing they were just touring and not eating! No tears or anything. I'm glad it happened at school or our little Drama King would have really played it up at home. The tooth fairy did visit and left him some money for his tooth. He was quite the excited little boy.

Summer Fun

The babysitter compiled pictures of the boys and all the fun they had this summer into a slide show. They definitely look like they had a blast!

First Day of School

Tuesday was Jackson's first day of first grade. He has Mrs. Campbell and several of his friends from last year are in his class. So far, he loves it!

34 Weeks and Counting

This is a horrible picture of me but Kevin insisted on taking it. This was Saturday morning at 34 weeks pregnant.

Evil Knievel

Adam was standing on the back of his bike with the front wheel in the air. Of course, when the camera came out, his stunts became a little less dangerous.

Karaoke Anyone?

Kevin brought home a Karaoke Machine. Adam and Jackson have loved singing/talking into the microphones.

Having Fun with the "Caterpillar"

Last night Adam was crawling through the "caterpillar". Jackson decided to hide inside and so of course, Adam just had to join him!

Big Brother Class

This past Sunday we went to the Big Brother Class at the hospital. They learned what newborn babies do, put a diaper on a doll, swaddled a doll, took a tour of the nursery, had a snack, and listened to a story about being a big brother.

We had to talk Adam into putting the diaper on the baby. Once we got her swaddled he was proud to hold the baby.

At least the baby is still in his lap!

Jackson took the class very seriously.

The boys proudly display their certificates of completion.

Saturday Morning Fun

I came down the hall Saturday morning and found the two of them back in "bed". Jackson felt he had to cover his head when the camera came out.

Future Techies?

Jackson now takes every chance he gets to play with my iPod Touch. He is trying his best to figure out how to download games. Thank goodness he is looking for the free ones. I hope he never finds out my password! Adam is "talking" to someone using Kevin's phone. We wouldn't want him left out of the loop.

Going to the Lodge...

We have been taking advantage of my having every Friday off this summer- especially in July. We've been to the beach, the lake, and The Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC. The Great Wolf Lodge is located next to the mall, Concord Mills. We spent Friday morning at Ikea shopping for furniture for Sarah's room and then headed to the lodge after lunch. It has an indoor water park among other fun stuff for kids. The boys loved it, and I think Kevin was reliving his youth for the weekend.

The hotel room had a room for the kids with a bunk bed that was all decorated like a campsite. Here Adam and Jackson are peeking out of the "window" on the lower bunk. Jackson's favorite part of the room was that it had it's own TV. The TV was automatically tuned into a kids channel so he was in heaven. Of course, we had a hard time keeping Adam off the top bunk.

You couldn't avoid getting wet at this water park. Jackson is standing in the area where a bucket dumps 1000 gallons of water every 10 minutes or so.

The next few pictures are of the boys in the kiddie area. Adam spent a lot of time here. He went down the little water slides and loved the boats (wave runners). He also liked to jump into the waves at the wave pool and run and jump into the outdoor pool- with Kevin catching him of course. This was the only area I could take pictures because we had to keep the camera locked up, and it was very difficult to take pictures and not get the camera wet. We wished we had a waterproof camera like Aunt Emily and Uncle Joe's. That would have been nice!
Jackson went down all the water slides with Kevin except the tornado one. Kevin couldn't talk him into going down that one.
