First Taste of Food

Sarah ate some cereal for the first time this week. She not quite sure what to do with the mushy stuff that gets put into her mouth. Most of it ends up on her bib but she is getting better about it everyday.

Sitting in the big high chair before my first bite.

What is this stuff you put in my mouth? I know I have a picture of Jackson with this same look on his face- probably Adam, too.

Four Months Old

Sarah is now four months old. She weighed 16 pounds, 6 ounces at her checkup, and she is 25 1/2 inches long. The doctor said that she was doing fine. She handled the shots like a pro this time. She barely flinched with the first one and just sqeaked a little with the second one. She did make up for all of that though. She was very fussy and didn't sleep good that night.

I'm a big girl sitting in my Exersaucer. I can see everyone and everything!

I love my new toys- especially the ones that spin.

Quick Winter Getaway

The Faircloth's decided to take a last minute trip to Myrtle Beach over the Martin Luther King weekend. We all stayed in a condo on the 15th floor with a beautiful view. The weather surprised us. It was supposed to rain two of the days we were there but ended up only being rainy for half of each of those two days so we got some time out on the beach. Of course, the day we left was the warmest and the prettiest. Why does that always happen? The condo had an indoor pool with a lazy river where the boys spent a lot of their time. And then what is a trip to Myrtle Beach without going to the outlets for some shopping? Poor Kevin didn't have such a grand of a time. He ended up getting the stomach bug that Jackson and Adam had had the previous week. So instead of swimming and walking on the beach he spent Sunday in bed.

Sarah's first "walk" on the beach.

What is it Adam?

Jackson found a shell.

I'm ready for the pool!

Our view in the morning when we woke up. Yes, we are at the beach. That is the ocean. I have never in my entire life ever seen the ocean that calm. Jackson wanted to know where the boats were. I think he thought we were at the lake!
Don't worry a big storm came through that night and stirred the ocean "back to normal".

And our view at sunset that night.

Lazy Saturday

We didn't have anything to do on this particular Saturday in January so we all had a lazy day. Little did we know, we would have two sick boys the next day and into the next week.

Sarah loves to lay on her quilt. She usually turns and either watches us or whatever is on TV.

Adam is snuggled up under the "blue blanket". When he finally emerged we found a multitude of stuffed animals hiding in there with him.

Growing Like a Weed

When I took Sarah's clothes off tonight to give her a bath, I swear she looked bigger than she did when I dressed her this morning. Her hair is also starting to grow. I think she has more of that tonight than she did this morning, too. It seems to have a little bit of a reddish tint like Adam's did when he was little. She is growing so fast!

Kevin was holding her earlier and she started watching her hands, tracking their every move. I think she is going to be rolling over and sitting up before we know it!

We Survived!

We all survived the first week back to work/school. I think Sarah was very happy to be at Mandy's. I'm sure Adam and Ivy entertained her every day. She fussed when I put her in her car seat each day although I think it really was that she didn't want to be confined in that thing.

Adam was so excited to see Ivy on Monday. He had really missed her. When Kevin got home that evening, the first words to him from Adam were "Adam go to Ivy's house today".

I have been so surprised at how tired I've been this week but then I probably shouldn't be. I think I am going to have to start my days with some caffeine. Too bad I don't like coffee.

I received an email with a picture each day and one day got a video of Sarah talking to me. You can watch it, too.

Chilling on the couch with Mommy after a long week.

Happy New Year!

We went to a friend's house to bring in the new year. There were several other children there so Jackson and Adam spent the evening moving from the living room to the basement where all the "boy toys" were. Of course, the kitchen was right in their path so they could stop and snack on the way. The living room had Rock Band set up so Kevin and Jackson tried their hands at being a rock star. Kevin played the guitar and Jackson tried out the drums and the guitar. Sarah was the most perfect baby. She was passed around and even took a few naps. Jackson was so excited to actually be able to stay up past midnight. The boy's never acted the least bit tired. They were very well behaved. The good thing was that they slept the next morning. We were a little worried about Adam but he didn't get up until 8:00 and Jackson slept until 10:45! I'm sorry I don't have pictures but we forgot the camera. Happy New Year!
