Swimming Lessons

We sent Sarah to the "Swim Nazi" this summer for swim lessons. She learned to jump off the diving board and swim to the side of the pool.

Another Surgery

Sarah had to have her tonsils taken out along with a third set of tubes for her ears. Adam's tonsillectomy was still too fresh in my mind. I feared the worst and should have left those worries behind. Sarah did great! She drank and ate popsicles like a champ. The morning after her surgery she ate a biscuit for breakfast.

This was after she "woke up". I started off in bed with her but then had to get up to use the bathroom. After that she didn't want anyone on her bed. She sat there watching TV the rest of the day. She would only look away from the TV long enough for me to get a picture!
Sarah had wonderful nurses throughout her on night stay in the hospital. One nurse was my favorite nurse from Adam's surgery.
Here she is the day after getting home playing dress up.

And then the next day swinging at the park. I would say she had an extremely quick recovery!

Panama City Beach, FL

Exactly one week after Sarah's tonsillectomy we piled in the car and headed to Panama City Beach for a week. Lucky for us the tenants from Mom and Daddy's townhouse moved out and it hadn't been rented it yet.  Unfortunately for them the previos tenants smoked in the house and the upstairs bathroom smelled horribly like cigarette smoke. We tried out best to air the place out for them.

Sarah and Adam wanted Kevin to bury them in the sand.

This is the pool by the beach. It was nice to rinse the salty water off after a swim in the ocean.

One day Jackson and Kevin went deep sea fishing while Adam, Sarah, and I played at the pool. When we weren't at one of the pools or the beach we drove out to St. Andrew's Park where they have a nice sandy beach with calm water.
 Snorkeling Anyone?

I guess Sarah thought the lizard needed some water.

 Playing in the sand.

Last time in the pool. There were eleven, and I'm pretty sure we tried most of them out.

Being Silly

Give Adam and Sarah a box and they will entertain each other for hours!

 Jackson's Viola Recital

Jackson played his viola and Sarah picked flowers. I didn't upload the video because it was very hard to hear due to the wind.

Kindergarten Reflections

Every year the kindergarteners perform songs about what they've learned throughout the year. This year it was on the Friday before Mother's Day. Adam's teacher had a Mother's Day reception back in the classroom after the performance.

Kevin's favorite song that they sang was "I Love School" because they sang it with as little enthusiasm as possible!

School Talent Show

Our school had a talent show and asked the kindergarteners to sing a few of their songs before the show. I was shocked at how loud Adam was singing because he has hardly sung out at any of his other performances. Check out the video.

Jackson's (10) and Adam's (6) Birthday Celebrations

Jackson and Adam chose to go to Celebration Station to celebrate with their friends. After playing Putt-Putt, riding the go carts, and playing video games, we stopped at Chick-fil-a for dinner.

The next day we all met at LaCocina for lunch and then headed back to our house for ice cream sundaes. We were all impressed at how many black beans Ivey ate!

Sarah had to sport the birthday hat, too!

Sarah decided to have a tea party with the left over party supplies.

Sarah's Dance Recital

Gramma, Granddad, Aunt Jamie, Natalie, and Aunt Jean came to watch Sarah perform as a mouse in "The Tiny Seed".

Sarah got dressed at my school and posed for the camera.

Here is a video of her performance.

Sarah loved the flowers she got at the end of the show.

Awards Program

Jackson received an award for participating in orchestra this year.

Cruisin'

Mom and Daddy graciously took care of the kids so that Kevin and I could celebrate our 15 year anniversary in style. We went on a four night cruise with Royal Caribbean Cruiselines. We stopped in Cozumel, Mexico for a day where we spent the day at a resort sunning, swimming, snorkeling, and sipping. The lunch we had there was delicious- maybe even better than on the ship.

We spent the day before we were supposed to get on the ship on an island north of Tampa. There were several dolphins playing in the water.

Waiting for the ship to launch. We left on a rainy Thursday with some thunderstorms. No worries. The rain stopped before we left the dock but the clouds stayed around. It all cleared up about noon on Friday and turned out to be beautiful the rest of the time.

Our room attendant left surprises everyday.

Sitting on our private deck watching Cozumel come into view.

The beach in Cozumel.

Kevin went snorkeling and I rode along in the boat.

Heading back to the ship after a day of fun in the sun.

Another surprise from our room attendant.

Playing Putt-Putt on the top level of the ship. It was very windy.
